Since 2072 a growing share of our work has been repair rather than new build. It is slower, dirtier and needs a structural engineer's sign-off at every stage — but it is the work the valley actually needs.
Seismic retrofitting
Reinforced concrete jacketing of columns, new shear walls tied into existing footings, steel bracing, and stitching of cracked masonry walls. Always preceded by a condition survey, rebound hammer testing and a design by a licensed structural engineer.
Underpinning & foundation strengthening
Pit underpinning in sequenced bays for settled footings, footing enlargement, and micro-pile work where access allows. Common on older houses near Nakhkhu and along the Bagmati corridor.
Waterproofing & basement tanking
Crystalline slurry and membrane systems for terraces, sunken slabs and basements, with a 48-hour ponding test before any screed goes down. Five-year workmanship warranty on tanking.
Heritage brick, timber and stone
Repair of traditional courtyard houses — dachi apa facing brick, mud mortar repointing, replacement of decayed timber members, carved window repair by a specialist joiner, and jhingati tile roofs relaid on a new sub-roof.
Controlled demolition
Floor-by-floor manual dismantling in dense neighbourhoods where machines cannot reach, with scaffold sheeting, dust suppression and a debris disposal plan agreed with the ward.
Precast compound walls
Cast on our Ekantakuna yard and erected in a day, for plot boundaries where the owner wants the site secured before construction starts.
